Final Fantasy VII Rebirth offers a ton of different ways to equip and spec your characters with better stats and new skills. One of these ways is Steal, which, as the name suggests, allows you to steal things from enemies. While it’s not a strictly required skill, Steal can come in handy for grabbing certain items, equipment, and crafting components.
Where to steal Materia
Steal something in Rebirthyou need the Steal command, which is granted by the Steal command. matter. Put this thing somewhere and you can steal things from your enemies. You can get Materia to steal from shops, the Solemnitude Manor, the Corel Prison and from Yuffie’s starting equipment.
Stealing is affected by your luck status, so combine it with Lucky Materia And Characters with naturally high luck is wise.
What to steal in Rebirth?
I think it is fair to say that stealing is a little inadequate in Rebirth. You won’t be able to access completely broken farming resources or even rare items because of this. Also, some of the most useful things you can loot from enemies are items, meaning you can’t use them in Hard Mode (Rebirths difficulty level at the end of the game, which prevents you from using things like potions, ether, attack items like grenades, and more).
Celeris is one of the most common objects to steal (and it is very useful)
Celeris allows you to cast Haste on a target. This speeds up your attack speed. While you can cast this as a spell with Time Materia, using an item does not consume MP. You can steal Celeris from the following enemies (the Fiend Intel enemies are the easiest to farm):
Aggrevrikon: Fiend Intel 5 in the Grassland
bandit: Fought during Phenomenon Intel 3 in Grasslands
Beck: Fought during Phenomenon Intel 4 in Grasslands
Burke: Fought during Phenomenon Intel 4 in Grasslands
Butch: Fought during Phenomenon Intel 4 in Grasslands
Greyhound: Fought during the “Side quest “O Chicken, Where Art Thou”
Levricon: Found wandering in grassland
You can steal crafting components from enemies
There are a few items that are worth using this Materia for. First off, many monsters carry items that can be used to craft via the Item Transmuter option in the main menu. To see what items an enemy has that can be stolen, simply rate them and you’ll see what items are available on the left side of the screen.
You can check the stats of any enemies you’ve previously scanned in the Enemy Information menu, including what items can be stolen (and transformed using the Morph Materia).
You can steal helpful recovery items
Giga Potions that restore 3,000 HP are also very handy. You can steal these from Devil Riders that appear during the Hustle and Grind side quest. Mega Potions aren’t as good (they only restore 1,500 HP), but they’re still good to have. You can steal these from Rude and the smaller Tonberries that appear during the boss fight against the Tonberry KingThe latter is the best way to farm them.

Turbo Ethers are extremely useful when running on Easy, Normal or Dynamic difficulty levels in Rebirth as they restore your MP and let you fight in the world longer (they can also save you in particularly bad situations before a boss fight, where magic can make a notable difference in combat).
You can loot Turbo Ether from two enemies: 2-C SOLDIERS and Abzu. The first can only be fought in the Temple of the Ancients (Chapter 13), while the second is a boss fight during the Arena Showdown in Chapter 12.
Elixirs that fully restore HP and MP are also great. You can steal these from Roche during his boss fights.
Grab the Fortitude Ring from Reno
The Fortitude Ring is an accessory that increases a character’s vitality and spirit by 50. You can steal this item from the boss fight with Remo.
Stealing may not seem immediately useful when you first get it, but it can help you build up a stockpile of more than a few handy items, especially over multiple playthroughs of the campaign.
