One of the most notable missing elements from the Harry Potter prequel game Hogwarts Legacy was the high-profile sport of Quidditch. Publisher Warner Bros. Games will address this exclusion later this year with Harry Potter: Quidditch Mastera new single-player and online competitive multiplayer game based on the sport of magic.
Developer Unbroken Games revealed the first gameplay of its Harry Potter Quidditch video game this week, featuring some familiar faces like Ron Weasley and Draco Malfoy, as well as a look at several arenas, including the Quidditch World Cup stadium.
Quidditch fans can also create a young wizard of their choice. Unbroken Games shows the Harry Potter: Quidditch Master Character creator in the video above, highlighting the choices in houses, clothing, brooms, and more. Publisher WB Games says there are “currently no plans for in-game microtransactions,” which hopefully means what you see is what you’ll get forever.
Harry Potter: Quidditch Master will be released digitally on September 3rd for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC (via Steam and the Epic Games Store), Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. A physical deluxe edition will be available on November 8th for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. A Nintendo Switch version is also in the works and will be released sometime this holiday season, according to WB Games.
PlayStation Plus subscribers receive Harry Potter: Quidditch Master (and a Firebolt Supreme Broom skin) as part of the September 2024 downloadable games. The game will be available from September 3 to 30 if you have an active PS Plus membership of any tier.
