First look at DC’s epic new Superman / Batman comic from veterinarian Mark Waid

Mark Waid returns to the world of Superman (and Batman) in March, but first he and artist Dan Mora (Detective comics) lay claim to Batman’s own Detective comics. From January 25th, the two will take over the backup function of the title with a prelude to their own run on Batman / Superman.

Waid and Mora set in a more colorful past of Batman and Superman – a time when Robin was still there and Superman’s secret identity was still a secret. After a vicious attack by kryptonite-powered villain Metallo, Batman must seek the help of some unusual allies … the DC Universe’s biggest team of madmen, the Doom Patrol. but This is everything on the pages of Batman / Superman.
