Fortnite’s newest skin references the phrase “dead game,” which is a longtime diss in online video game communities that has turned into a joke. The skin is part of a new pack of aesthetic items called the Checkered Past Pack. The pack contains several items, including a skin with black nail polish, a plaid hat, and a sleeveless black turtleneck with “Totes Wild” printed on the top in white lettering.
The phrase refers to a long-running meme used by people to dismiss a game or claim it’s no longer relevant. Basically, the phrase is used to imply that a game has dropped and is no longer played and liked by people. (A term that has been used for many moons to describe Fourteen days
