PlayStation Plus Essential subscribers Free games for July Are Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Alan Wake RemasteredAnd Endling: Extinction is forever. Players can download them starting Tuesday, June 6th.
That is interesting Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War appears on PS Plus Essential, just as the availability of Call of Duty on PlayStation – and particularly on subscription services like PlayStation Plus – was a hot topic in last week’s Microsoft-FTC hearing.
It’s not the first time Call of Duty has graced PS Plus with its presence. Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 was a special selection in June 2018; Modern Warfare Remastered was offered in March 2019; Call of Duty WWII was another special for June 2020; Modern Warfare 2 RemasteredThe campaign followed in August and Black Ops 4 was released in July 2021.
Black Ops 3 was also part of the PS Plus Collection, which PlayStation 5 buyers received from the launch of the console until May of this year. All of this, of course, comes ahead of Microsoft’s January 2022 takeover bid of Activision Blizzard, which is currently subject to regulatory scrutiny in the US, UK and European Union.
Alan Wake Remastered The title says it all: it’s the remaster of Remedy’s 2010 mystery thriller, released in 2021 on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 (as well as Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Windows PC). It’s another timely decision Alan Wake 2 was just revealed (and playable) at Summer Game Fest earlier this month. This starts on October 17th.
Endling: Extinction is forever was released a year ago on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One and will be released later in November for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. In the 3D side scroller, players take on the role of the last vixen on earth and protect her Litter to cubs in an environment tainted by human pollution and exploitation. endling was a Games for Change nominee at the 2022 Game Awards.
All of these games will be available to download for PlayStation Plus Essential subscribers from June 6th. Games in June – NBA 2K23, Jurassic World EvolutionAnd hike to Yomi, are available for PS Plus Essential subscribers until Tuesday 4th July.
