Solar fusion energy and lunar fusion energy are an important part of acquiring Necrozma’s Dusk Mane and Dawn Wings forms in Pokemon Go.

In addition to the required Pokémon (Necrozma and either Solgalego or Lunala), you also need the correct energy for the Necrozma form you want to create through fusion.

The best opportunity to get Solar Fusion Energy and Lunar Fusion Energy will be during Go Fest Global 2024 (Sunday, July 14th to be exact), but there is also a way to get a head start before the event with free Fusion Energy codes.

Free Solar Fusion Energy and Lunar Fusion Energy Codes

As part of an Instagram campaign, developer Niantic is giving away codes on alternating days that grant free solar fusion energy and lunar fusion energy.

The codes and the URL to redeem on the official Pokemon Go Code redemption page are as follows:

• Tuesday, July 9: LFR5CQZ7852CP (100 solar fusion energy)
• Wednesday, July 10: PQV2VFB9LD46E (100 Moon Solar Fusion Energy)
• Thursday, July 11: TBC (100 solar fusion energy)
• Friday, July 12: TBC (Lunar Solar Fusion Energy)

It is unknown if the codes expire after each day or are valid throughout the entire Go Fest Global weekend and beyond, so be sure to redeem each code as soon as possible to be safe.

How to get Solar Fusion Energy and Lunar Fusion Energy in Pokémon Go

Starting in July 2024 (when Go Fest Global takes place), there will be three ways for all players to obtain Solar Fusion Energy and Lunar Fusion Energy:

• Redeem promotional codes in advance of the event (see above)
• During raids on Sunday, July 14, by defeating Dusk Mane Necrozma (for Solar Fusion Energy) and Dawn Wings Necrozma (for Lunar Fusion Energy)
• Complete branching research as part of the paid Go Fest Global ticket on Sunday, July 14 (Day 2), along with the purchase of a Solgaleo or Lunula with special background

Additionally, for those who participated in Go Fest Madrid, Sendai or New York CityYou should already have 1,000 Solar Fusion or Lunar Fusion Energy from completing event-exclusive research, depending on which branching path you chose.

At the time of writing, it is unconfirmed how much Fusion Energy you will acquire through raids or branching research for Go Fest Global itself.
