The Sohma family will return this spring for season 2 of Fruit Basket.
In the event that it is too far away for you – or if you want a refreshment of what happened last season – a seven-minute trailer / reap comes in between the highlights of each character arc, with a glimpse into what will happen in season two.
A new 2001 anime update of the same name, new Fruit Basket closely follows the manga based on it. Think of it as Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood in order Perfect Almetist.
The plucky and absurd Tohru Honda ends up living with the mysterious family of Sohma. Gets a family secret: When they are bitten by a member of the opposite sex, they become animals in the zodiac! How cute! Of course, unless there's something dark in play here, considering how those who suffer the curse end up separated from the families and romantic interests dominated by the mysterious family head, Akito.
But hey, Tohru managed to convince t hem to look to the bright side and reconnect with those he loves. An orphan who always puts others before their needs, has their own problems, and they work on everything together.
The trailer part of this recap, however, focuses on the bad side of things. Akito's power over the family is particularly highlighted. There are a lot of troubled faces and dark rooms, and a good laugh from Akito.
Season 2 of Fruit Basket will be used to begin in April. As of last season, it is likely that the episodes will be aired on Crunchyroll and titled Funimation.
