"We are closing our stores in California," the company said in a statement. "The closure will remain in effect until further notice as we obtain more details from the California Governor's Office." California is one of the few states in the country that has enacted a strict law on lockdowns and has called for non-stop businesses to close.
Two California GameStop employees told Kotaku to be told to use your time or file of unemployment, as they will not be paid while the shops are closed.
A spokeswoman for the GameStop organization did not return requests for comment on how the company plans to continue whether it will close stores in New York or Pennsylvania, which also closes with businesses.
