Genshin Impact is more than just an open world exploration game. In addition to comprehensive quests throughout the massive map, the game also lets you decorate buildings, plants, landmarks, and more in a separate realm called the Serenitea Pot (aka the Inner Realm). It’s a detailed decoration simulator, and a change introduced in the 3.1 patch made it even better by allowing players to overlap decorations.
The seemingly small change has a big impact for fans who love to decorate as it allows for more flexibility. Prior to this patch, items could not be placed close together and instead required varying amounts of buffer space. To get around this, fans had to exploit a wiggling bug where they wiggled around decorations before placing them. The bug would allow players to place the items around other decorations. Now that’s not a problem and players can decorate to their heart’s content.
Genshin Impact has many different options for players – some people focus on exploration, some focus on building strong characters, and still others focus almost exclusively on decorating their teapot. Known in the community as the “Teapot Mains,” this group of players embraced the change almost immediately. Now it will be much easier for both hardcore decorators and casual designers to design Genshin Impact realm of their dreams.
