Genshin Impact finally has the Tender element in its full form. Instead of just finding scarce Dendro Slimes, you can finally use the power of Dendro and fight more Dendro enemies. Combining the element with others yields great results, so be sure to use these to give yourself an edge when exploring Sumeru.
Our Genshin Impact The Dendro Explainer shows you how to get the most out of the grassy element and explains how Dendro’s elemental reactions work.
What do dendro elementary reactions cause?
Dendro reacts with Pyro, Electro, and Hydro in the following ways:
- Quicken (Dendro + Electro): When accelerated, Electric attacks activate “Aggravate” and deal more damage. Further Dendro attacks on an accelerated enemy activate Spread, which increases Dendro damage to the enemy.
- Burn (Dendro + Pyro): This elemental reaction has always been in the game, so you might already know it. Burning enemies take pyro damage over time.
- Bloom (Dendro + Hydro): Bloom drops Dendro Cores from the enemy onto the ground. Hitting Dendro Cores with Pyro inflicts “Burgeon” which deals AoE Dendro damage. Hitting Dendro Cores with Electro turns the Cores into homing “Sprawling Shots”. Cores left on the ground explode, dealing AoE Dendro damage.
All in all, using Electro gives you a huge advantage against Dendro enemies, so it’s time to dust off your Fischl, Beidou, Razer, or other Electro characters.
What does dendro mean
Elementary resonance do?
If you have two Dendro-using characters on your team, you will get Expansive Green. This increases the Elemental Mastery of all characters on your team by 50. In addition, activating any of the above Elemental Reactions grants the party an additional Elemental Mastery bonus for a short time.
As of this writing, there are only three Dendro characters in the game: Tighnari, Collei, and the Traveler. That being said, even free-to-play players can use Traveler and Collei (since you get them for free) to setup this powerful Elemental Resonance combo.
More Dendro characters, like Kusanali, will appear in future updates.
