The Lord of the Rings Perhaps the most decadent version of Tolkien’s trilogy ever printed, the Deluxe Illustrated Box Set is currently discounted at Amazon for its lowest price ever. Normally priced at $325, the massive box set is on sale for just $325 $246.41just in time for Prime Day in October.

The three-volume, leather-bound set of hardcover books contains over 50 paintings and drawings by artist Alan Lee, as well as removable art cards and a pair of fold-out cards drawn by JRR Tolkien himself. Alan Lee was the artist responsible for producing the concept art for Peter Jackson’s film trilogy and has since used his talents to illustrate Tolkien’s other works. While the illustrations in this edition of The Lord of the Rings different from those found in the beautiful standalone deluxe versionthe cards in both versions are identical.
