But when the COVID-19 pandemic hits and Blanc isn’t invited to the estates of the rich and powerful, it turns out he’s not up to much with his talent for discovery. Apparently, instead of solving real-life murders, he did what we’ve all been doing in 2020: play Between us.

While that brief look at the game at the beginning of the film is quite a bit of fun for anyone in the know, the most exciting part of the scene comes when the film reveals that Benoit is playing with an all-star cast of crime greats. Kareem Abdul Jabbar

One of the great multi-hyphenates of modern times, Abdul-Jabbar was a great all-time professional basketball player who, after retiring, transitioned into a career as an accomplished columnist and primarily for the purposes of glass onion, crime novels. Natasha Lyonne

Lyonne is the newcomer to this group of legends, but fits in slightly considering her upcoming mystery show is Rian Johnson’s next project. The show is called poker face, and it’s already looking like a great time based on its trailer. Like any good mystery series, it seems to be full of guest stars, and Johnson and Lyonne hope it’s loved enough to see Lyonne at Benoit’s Between us Game feels like a breeze for future viewers.
