A big one on Christmas Day GTA 5 A leak revealed that Rockstar Games had some single-player DLC planned for the open-world crime simulation. Although none of these have been published, what has been uncovered by online experts is still interesting.

Accordingly a Insider Gaming reportRockstar has apparently discarded eight planned songs GTA 5 Extensions. This was revealed by the publication of release the full source code of the game around Christmas, which contains references to the unreleased DLC as well as the script for running the game. Here is the full list of canceled extensions referenced in the leak:
- “SP assassination package”
- “SP Manhunt Pack”
- “SP Norman Pack”
- “Agent Trevor”
- “Relationship Package”
- “Enterprise package”
- “Prologue DLC”
- “LibertyV DLC”
It’s difficult to figure out exactly what each term means, although there’s a lot to speculate about. Above all, GTA 5 DLC might have let us step into the role of Trevor as he performs the duty of some sort of agent. The “Relationship Pack” may have introduced dating or even marriage to Los Santos. Maybe Rockstar had plans to return there GTA IVLiberty City is for who knows what shenanigans. There’s also the prologue, which likely sets up the events of the main game, and the “Manhunt Pack,” which could be a reference to Rockstar Games’ 2003 stealth-action game of the same name. Your guess is as good as mine.
What kept Rockstar from relegation GTA 5 DLC?
Although Rockstar clearly had plans for single-player DLC, these expansions were likely never produced due to their runaway success GTA Online. It is generated almost half a billion dollars per year since release, so it made sense for Rockstar Games to focus on this money-making machine.
In 2017, however the studio said Game Informer that other factors influenced the decision to skip GTA 5 DLC. Design director Imran Sarwar said that the next-generation versions of GTA 5 It took a while to get it right, GTA Online wasted resources and Red Dead Redemption 2
“The combination of these three factors means for [GTA 5]”We didn’t think single-player expansions were possible or necessary, but we could certainly do them for future projects,” Sarwar said. “At Rockstar we will always have bandwidth issues because we are perfectionists and developing very complex games requires a lot of time and resources. Not everything is always possible, but we still absolutely love single-player open-world games. I don’t think you could make a game like that GTA 5 if you don’t like single player games and trying to expand their possibilities!”
My city Rockstar Games has reached out for comment.

This is worth mentioning Red Dead Redemption 2, which released in October 2018, did not receive single-player DLC. Maybe that will change if Rockstar Games shifts all of its focus and resources to it GTA 6, which launches sometime in 2025.
