Transphobic gamers seem to be baffled by facts again, as one appears to be posing as an Arc System Works representative and has sent out a fake email to gamers insisting he’s popular and coming back Guilty Gear struts Character Bridget is not transgender.
The deception came to light when The official Arc System Works Twitter account posted a tweet suggesting that someone posing as a customer service rep “distributed fabricated images that look like official responses.” While the Arc System Works tweet was blunt and sparse as to exactly the misinformation, Twitter user JohnXuandou tweeted that the scammer in question had sent a fake email stating that Bridget was not trans.
“A number of the answers to that are already ‘MAKE AN OFFICIAL STATEMENT!’ They did, you damn idiots. It’s part of the game,” said JohnXaudou a reply to her original tweet. “You can go play it now. Bridget’s Arcade Mode and The Damn Character Encyclopedia both state that Bridget is a girl. You are stupid.”
