It took a few weeks but the artists who worked on it Halo infinity finally got the all-clear to release some of their work on the game, so tonight we’re getting a chance to look at a whole bunch of it.
Whatever you think about the game –Ari loved it in our review but I was immediately repelled by its Ubisoft-style open-world design – it certainly has a very nice and intentionally retro look, its light armor and green trees are the closest it can be to that Halo: Combat Evolved more aesthetic than any other game in the series.
Below is a selection of mostly concept work that went into the game, from a variety of artists from both 343 and external studios. It’s not all from everyone who contributed to the game, but it’s enough to give you a good cross-section of the kind of work that defined the look of Halo infinity.
Below are links to each artist’s portfolio in their name, and if you’d like to check out even more artwork from the game, including a ton of work by environmental, character, and technical artists, ArtStation has a large collection live on their website.
