It probably goes without saying that there are many, many very good weapons out there Halo infinite. There are weapons for close combat encounters, such as the handy Bulldog shotgun. There are weapons for long-range combat, like a pair of sniper rifles and, if the target is slow enough, a couple of launchers. There are weapons to destroy shields, weapons that specialize in unprotected headshots, weapons to disable vehicles. If you have a problem Halo infinite has a weapon to solve this problem.
Now I ask you to ignore them all.
As great as the guns are Halo infinite, there’s something better: exploding rectangles. They are called Fusion Coils, and you will see that they scatter both multiplayer maps and campaign missions. In a traditional first person shooter, they would act as an exploding barrel: shoot it once and kablooey
In Halo infinite, you can walk over and pick up fusion coils before throwing them at enemies. This is pretty fun, too, but the process is too slow to feel fluid. Try going to your desk chair while micro-aliens hurl energy grenades at you. Not ideal.
But the Fusion Coil has a best friend: the gripper. Most of the people use the claw in Halo infinite‘s campaign to bypass the open world map after accidentally turning their mongoose into a ravine. But it has a lot more uses than that. Specifically, it can grab fusion coils and draw towards you, so you can prep a Hail Mary while maintaining a dead sprint.
Halo infinite‘s designers cleverly filled pretty much every card with a ton of fusion coils, presumably for that very reason. Not only do they look cool, but they also do tremendous damage to armored targets such as fighters. The rocket launcher may have lost a step or two over the years, but those exploding lunch boxes fill that void with power.
I’m sorry to say there will be times when you will run out of all of the fusion coils in an area. You may think that at this point you should get back to arms, but fight that urge my friends. The gripper is not ready yet.
Early in Halo infiniteCampaign, you may want to split your upgrade points across different skills, perhaps to improve your shield or radar system. That is foolishness. You should spend every single point you have on maximizing the grappling hook.
The first couple of upgrades are obviously good, speeding up the tool’s recharge rate and freezing addicting enemies in place. But go ahead. The third upgrade gives you an improved melee attack when hooking on a target and hitting it while being pulled forward, creating a shock wave. Once this blow is fully exhausted, it triggers a large electrical explosion that destroys almost everything within 6 m of the blow.
It’s even great for tougher enemies like armored elites with swords that can be stunned and struck repeatedly until they drop. There is literally no weapon in it Halo infinite able to defeat a single armored target more effectively than the super electric punch – all without the need for a single bullet.
I’m sure people will say that firing guns will make your journey through that Halo infinite Campaign a little faster and maybe safer. But more fun? Under no circumstance. Guns can never rival the sacred rectangle and its eternal buddy, the grappling electro-fist.
