Helldivers 2 has an error problem. No, not that, but a literal error problem. The Terminids, a species of giant, murderous beetles, have plagued the game since the beginning. They are the first enemies in Super Earth ongoing Galactic War, and players have landed on planet after planet in hopes of containing the insect plague across the galaxy, but the Terminids have been fierce and keep breaking through their attacks. Their ranks include the armored warhorses and massive jelly titans, which appear in larger numbers and cause problems for players on higher difficulty levels.Arrowhead Game Studios have heard the requests of their fans (born cries) asked for help and finally did something about it.
Helldivers 2‘S latest patch Addresses some of the frustrations players faced against Terminids on the highest difficulties by, among other things, adjusting the spawn rates of both Armored Chargers and Gall Titans. Lately there have been spikes in the spawn rate that have turned comically overwhelming situations into downright nightmares that take some of the fun out of it. It’s fun to overcome nearly impossible odds – but it’s no fun to load up a game and play it endlessly. Arrowhead points out that this is not necessarily the case Nerfing
In a move that actually makes things easier, or at least makes an existing strategy more effective, the Chargers’ vulnerability has been mitigated. Although the community is exploiting a “leg meta” to take them out, the HP of their intended weak point – their head – has been reduced, allowing players to use weapons like the Recoilless Rifle and easily take them out with a well-placed headshot.
A new Major orderThese are daily and weekly goals that often determine the course of action in the narrative Helldivers 2
Helldivers 2There is apparently something in the Umlaut Sector that Super Earth’s forces call the Terminid Control System, which is supposed to fix the bugs once and for all. However, the group of planets in the Umlaut Sector have been captured by the Terminids, and Helldivers are now being sent there in droves to stabilize the sector, activate the control system in a new mission, and possibly neutralize the insect threat for good. Ordering is clearly the next step Helldivers 2is the ongoing interactive war drama that just involved the liberation of the planet Tien Kwanwhich allows players to unlock mechs that have been mass-produced on the planet.
By now, players have developed a feel for the game’s narrative threads and are jumping into the latest big contract, but that hasn’t stopped others from theorizing that the player base is on the precipice of another catastrophic development.
The Helldivers 2 Community As always, have a lot of fun with it. One of the top posts on the Helldivers 2 Subreddit contains a number of comments that cast doubt on the effectiveness of the terminid control system and the prospect of terminid eradication. One such comment states: “End the Terminid threat permanently, you say? Nothing can go wrong,” with a clear hint of sarcasm. Another reads dramatically: “I have an extremely bad feeling about this. Curb the mistakes in week 4? No. We’re going to wake something up. This won’t end well.”
But my favorite would have to be a commentator who is obviously playing 4D chess while the rest of us are fumbling around with our childish games of checkers.
“Guys… exosuits, ‘permanently stop bugs’, tremors…? Shai Hulud.”
Whatever is going on Helldivers 2, it seems like players stopping by this week are in for a rude awakening. Good thing those Charger headshots got improved because I think people are going to need it this week. Check out these shotsand watch each other’s backs out there.
