In a time of legends long ago, when video games still emerged from the primordial mist and magic still permeated everything, there were games of ultimate power. These games weren’t about Italian plumbers or sad surrogate fathers, but about fierce warriors who would go into battle shirtless, flexing their muscles to slaughter their enemies with swords and prove themselves the strongest and most manly of them all. I’m talking about barbarians, of course. And while there have been few games in recent decades that have focused exclusively on the exploits of barbarians, we’re now in the midst of a mini-renaissance of barbarian games!
