Here’s how to get more Hourglasses in the Pokémon TCG Pocket

Heres, Hourglasses, leader, mobile, Pocket, Pocket Guides for Pokémon Trading Card Games, Pokémon, TCG

Hourglasses are special items in Pokémon Trading Card Game Bag which allow you to open packs and roll a miracle tip sooner. While you can typically only open a pack every 12 hours, you can use one Pack hourglass to shorten this timer by one hour. You can also use Miracle hourglasses to shorten the Wonder Pick timer by one hour at a time.

There are many ways to get Pack Hourglasses and Wonder Hourglasses. So you should make sure you play every aspect of the game to earn them. It’s possible that future features and limited-time events will also issue hourglasses, but these will be available at launch.

Below we list all the methods we know of to get Pack and Wonder Hourglasses Pokémon Trading Card Game Bag and explain how to use hourglasses.

How to use hourglasses in Pokémon TCG Pocket

To use your pack hourglasses, select the pack you want to open and simply click the “Open a pack” or “Open 10 packs” button (depending on how many hourglasses you have and want to spend) . This will prompt you to spend your hourglasses to open the pack if you have any left.

For Wonder Hourglasses you have to do the same thing, only for Wonder Picks. Select a pack to choose a Miracle from and follow the instructions to replenish the required amount of Miracle Stamina. The game automatically sets the right amount of Miracle Hourglasses to start your selection.

You will receive a four pack of hourglasses from your daily missions. The missions themselves aren’t all that difficult and you only need to complete three of the five missions featured to get your daily dose of Hourglasses. To complete this, you must complete three of the following steps:

  • Open 1 booster pack
  • Open 2 booster packs
  • Wonder Pick 1 time
  • Participate in 1 battle

Complete additional missions

In addition to daily tasks, you have Beginner missions To complete this, you’ll receive a whopping 120 packs of Hourglasses as a reward, enough to open 10 packs at once. The missions are as follows:

  • Wonder Pick 1 Time (Pack of 24 Hourglasses)
  • Reach Player Level 3 (Pack of 24 Hourglasses)
  • Open 4 booster packs (24 pack hourglasses)
  • Participate in 1 one-on-one battle (24-pack of hourglasses)
  • Collect 50 cards (24 pack hourglasses)
  • Complete 1 Beginner Mission (24 Miracle Hourglasses)
  • Complete 3 Beginner Missions (24 Wonder Hourglasses)
  • Complete 5 Beginner Missions (24 Wonder Hourglasses)

After completing the beginner missions you will receive some advanced missionswhich will also reward you with 120 hourglasses. Unlike the beginner missions, you will not receive any rewards for completing each mission, but will instead receive a flat rate of hourglasses for completing nine missions:

  • Edit a deck
  • Register 1 friend
  • Attach card sleeves to a deck
  • Place a play mat on a deck
  • Gain Flair 1 time
  • Send 1 Thank you
  • Send 5 thanks
  • Win 3 one-on-one battles
  • Register 3 friends
  • Gain Flair 2 times
  • Reach player level 6
  • Link your Nintendo account
  • Complete 3 Advanced Missions (250 Bright Dust)
  • Complete 6 Advanced Missions (500 Bright Dust)
  • Complete 9 advanced missions (120 hourglasses)

Note that there are 12 missions to complete, meaning you don’t have to complete all of them to get the big reward.

These missions involve things you do naturally as you play the game, so you don’t have to go too far to beat them.

Complete the Battle Guide and Single Card Battles

Completing this will net you a small handful of Pack Hourglasses Battle tutorial and then that Solo card battles that comes afterwards. In each of the seven tutorials you will receive two pack hourglasses, for a total of 12.

There are seven one-on-one battles per difficulty level, and each difficulty level rewards a different number of Pack Hourglasses (the higher the difficulty level, the more you get). The only exception is on Expert difficulty, where there are only six battles. The rewards are as follows:

  • Step-up Battle Beginner Battles: 2 hourglass packs each
  • Step-up Battle Intermediate: 3 hourglass packs each
  • Step-up Battle Advanced: 5 hourglass packs each
  • Step-up Combat Expert: 7 hourglass packs each

However, you cannot delete them all immediately. While we were able to clear the beginner battles fairly quickly with the first few cards, the later sets require more strategy and more cohesive decks (rather than just throwing together everything you picked up from the first few packs).

Buy them with Shop Tickets

You can buy any type of hourglass in the shop for two people Buy tickets every. You can get Shop Tickets from other players by thanking them, giving a thumbs up to your collection, and completing one-on-one battles. Each individual battle also has specific challenges that earn you additional shop tickets. So pay attention to what you need to do before jumping into battle.

Level up by fighting and collecting

Each time you level up, you’ll get a handful of hourglasses, which isn’t much different from the methods above since you have to fight and open packs to get XP. However, if you’ve noticed that some hourglasses have appeared in your inventory and you don’t know where they came from, it’s probably due to leveling.

Collect cards from themed collections

Collecting certain cards completes sets, which sometimes reward hourglasses. You can see these by opening your Missions menu and clicking the Theme Collections button in the bottom right. Some of the missions are listed, but some are hidden and won’t appear until you complete them. For reference, Serebii.net provides a useful list of all of them Thematic collections (even the hidden ones).

For a few bucks: Get them on Premium Missions

If you want to pay for the Premium Monthly Subscription worth $9.99, you can get up to 11 Pack Hourglasses and eight Wonder Hourglasses by completing the Premium Missions. The missions seem to reset monthly (next month is December, as the game only came out on October 30th and giving you 48 hours to complete a month-long mission set seems cruel).
