How to get the bad ending in Dragon’s Dogma 2
The bad ending In Dragon’s Dogma 2 is almost comically easy to get.
Once you defeat the Great Titan during the Guardian Gigantus quest, follow the marker to the original prison camp where you started the game, on the southern volcanic island of Agamen. However, before you do anything else, make one Save inn in the nearby inn.
When you’re ready, climb the tower and watch the cutscenes. The quest changes to “Legacy” and you must face the mighty dragon that made you an Awakened in the first place. You follow exactly this path to get to the other two ends. However, for the bad ending, simple Get away from the dragon.
Confirm with the boss that you will run away and lose control of your character. You will then see the Royal Chamber of Vernworth, where you will ascend the throne in an almost empty room. You’ll get some credits before the game takes you back to the main menu, where you can reload your last inn save and try again.
How to get the good ending in Dragon’s Dogma 2
To get that good end from Dragon’s Dogma 2follow the steps until you get to the “Legacy” quest.
Instead of running away from the dragon, attack it with any weapon. He throws you on your back and flies you to the boss arena. Stay put and prepare for a fight.
When you land, simply handle the large kite as you would any other kite. Stab or shoot his head until his heart finally opens. When you see the heart open, hit it until its weak point closes again. Repeat this process until he dies.
After the dragon’s death, you will see a new cutscene in which you, the Awakened, enter the royal court of Vernworth surrounded by subjects. Here you can Sit on the throne and wait so that the credits expire. When the screen disappears, you will receive the “Peace” trophy or achievement. This will return you to the main menu, where you will now see that you have a new option to start with new game plus.
Now you can either start the New Game Plus and overwrite your save, or you can reload your Inn save one last time to get the true ending and see the endgame (which will ultimately force you to start a new game anyway Plus to start).
If you slay the dragon, go into the courtroom, and decide that you actually want to know the true ending instead, Talk to the scout (The Ghost Type) twice and he will send you back to the time you were on the dragon’s back. You will find him sitting at the table in the throne room.
Here’s how to get the true ending of Dragon’s Dogma 2
Before you set off true endingyou need to be absolutely sure about three things:
- You’ve completed every quest you want and collected every item you want
- They have placed various port crystals on the map
- You are at least level 40
Once you’ve checked all of these boxes, head to the dragon and the “Legacy” quest. When the dragon asks you what you want to do, attack him. Once you are on his back, begin moving forward along his spine and crawl toward his heart.
As you get closer, you will feel your controller vibrate and you will notice a strong glow in both the dragon’s heart and your own. Open your inventory and search Mighty godsbane blade. Select “Use” and then click the attack button to set “Apply to Self”. You will stab yourself in the heart with the blade, killing both yourself and the great dragon.
You will wake up in a version of this Dragon’s Dogma 2 World map without water: the unmoored world. Congratulations. You finally made it to the final – and saw this Dragon’s Dogma 2 Title card! Now it’s time to save everyone.
