Penaconia is the third area you will visit Honkai: Star Railand with it comes new things Treasure And Puzzle on the new planet. With over 100 new things to discover, it can be a lot to browse through at once.

Many locations in Penacony are only unlocked once you complete a specific portion of Trailblaze’s main missions or certain puzzles. For this reason, we recommend hunting down all treasures as soon as you finish the story.

There is loot hidden on most maps, and this loot goes beyond just treasure chests. When you open the map you will notice it a chest icon in the top left corner with numbers next to it. This shows how many of the different types of loot you have found. However, this counter only lists treasures that are not locked behind puzzles or fearsome enemies (the powerful monsters that guard chests) and warp trotters.

Please note that our maps are based on beta content, so things may be different in the live version. We’re also missing a handful of chests that may be locked behind content we didn’t reach in the beta. We will update this guide as soon as possible if there are any specific changes.

How Penacony Treasure Chests Work

Opening chests and solving puzzles around Penacony will reward you Watch credits, which you can exchange to upgrade the Clockie statue in the center of Golden Hour. As you level up the statue, you will receive rewards such as Stellar Jade and other goodies.

There are many new puzzle types in Penacony, including block-sliding mirror puzzles and literal puzzles (with pieces that you have to fit into to make a picture). Most notably, there is a new type of collectible that can be found under the treasure chest by looking at cards: “Delightful trash cans.” These trash cans ask you a question and if you answer correctly, you get a reward. If you answer incorrectly, you’ll be drawn into battle – and you’ll still get the same reward afterwards. So don’t worry about answering wrong.

Penacony also has some maps where you walk on walls and the map that gives 3D. Although it is obviously difficult for us to convey information about where each chest, warp trotter, and lordly trash can is located in these areas, we have done our best to indicate where the chests are located using circles around to show which platform the object is on.

Treasure chest locations from The Reverie (Dreamscape).

We were only able to find 24 of 29 treasure chests, even though Topaz and Numby sniffed them out. It’s possible that we’ve missed some, or that a room is locked by a quest or future content, but we’ll update this guide as we find the rest.
