How to play Fort Condor in FF7 Rebirth

First, you need to understand the basics of Fort Condor:
- There are two lanes that traverse friendly and enemy units. Look on the right side of the screen to see what your enemy is sending and counter their units accordingly.
- The units follow a rock-paper-scissors system, but in this case it is Defense (shield) > Vanguard (sword) > Ranged combat (bow).
- Each unit has an ATB cost assigned to it, which can be viewed at the top left of their portrait on the left side of the screen. To see how much ATB you currently have, check your ATB meter in the top left corner of the screen.
- Once you have summoned enough units of the same type (defense, vanguard and ranged) as your hero (Cloud, Tifa and Barret), you can summon them into battle.
Best Fort Condor strategy in FF7 Rebirth

The best strategy we have found is to use Focus on fortress defense Setup and spam Ballista And Trebuchet Units in front of their headquarters and outposts. Here is a framework to beat each normal level of Fort Condor:
- At the start of the game, observe which units your enemy sends onto which lane.
- Counter your units using the shield-sword-bow system by placing either an Elite Vanguard, an Elite Enforcer, or both on each lane.
- Put a cleric behind your vanguard and your enforcer to keep them alive.
- Continue producing Elite Vanguards, Elite Enforcers, and Clerics until you are able to build a strong front line or summon your heroes.
- Send ballistae and trebuchets in front of the enemy’s headquarters and watch as they drain their health.

Note that ballista and trebuchet placement is very important! Both ballistae and trebuchets attack anything in front of them. Ballistas fire a deceptively wide arrow, while trebuchets fire a projectile from a set distance. Place your trebuchets a little closer to the center of the battlefield to ensure the projectiles hit the target.

On the easy difficulty level, your ATB meter will recharge significantly faster than on the dynamic difficulty level.
