While you play Palworld, you will come across towers with bosses in them. The second tower boss we recommend taking down is Lily and Lyleena duo found in an icy area north of the starting plateau.
As you’d expect, these tower bosses are the closest thing to them Palworld has to Pokémon Gyms, although they are very different. In it, a timed boss fight takes place against a buddy and his trainer.
Defeating the duo will award you an achievement and five Ancient Technology points, which you can use to learn crafting recipes from the very useful Purple Column. You also get access to the top of the tower, which serves as a nice, high-altitude spot for gliding.
Below we explain how to hit Lily and Lyleen In Palworld. Remember, we did all of this Solo on NormalSo it may be different depending on whether you run it in multiplayer or on another difficulty level.
How to prepare for Tower of the Free Pal Alliance in Palworld
To be completely honest, we were so busy building, leveling up, and exploring that we forgot about the towers until we reached level 30. At that point we went in and immediately sent Lily and Lyleen into space, making it look like we were significantly over-inflated. Oops!
All in all, you can probably defeat Lily and Lyleen based on the levels of the Pals around the Free Pal Alliance Tower about level 25as long as you have type advantages and a strategy.
Lily and Lyleen have around 69,000 HP and Lyleen is Grass type so bring along Fire attacks to dismantle it very easily. Note that Lyleen has Water-type moves. Therefore, we recommend bringing friends who are not Fire-type but have Fire-type moves.
You should also have the highest armor you can build (metal armor) as well as the best weapons you can have (a musket or a handgun).
Location of the Tower of the Free Pal Alliance in Palworld
The Free Pal Alliance tower is located north of the initial starting area and north of the first tower. It is located in a small snowy area. So make sure you have cold-resistant gear to get there.

How to beat Lily and Lyleen in Palworld
If you’re prepared by following the suggestions above and are still struggling, we have some tips to help you survive:
- When Lyleen fires water bubbles at your buddy, pull her back. Don’t let your friends come to harm that they can easily avoid. Send the pal back out as soon as the water bubble(s) are gone.
- When Lyleen fires the unique water bubble at you, hide behind a pillar. Your multiple bubble shot can go through and around pillars, but the giant bubble attack cannot.
The tips below are the same tips we recommend for every boss – including Zoe and Grizzbolt – but here they are in case you need them:
- Keep dodging to avoid Lyleen’s attacks.
- Swap your friends when they are low on HP. You don’t want them to be taken out in battle. When they recover, their HP slowly recovers.
- Keep firing your weapons to clear the damage. Headshots from the front deal additional damage.
- Reorient your friends regularly by calling them back and texting them back. Sometimes Lyleen or your friends get stuck behind pillars and then shoot projectile attacks, but they are blocked. This is a huge waste of time. So don’t be afraid to call your buddy back and realign him so he has clear shots of Lyleen.
With all that said, you should be able to defeat Lily and Lyleen without too much trouble. If you’re still having trouble, you might want to go out and catch more friends to level up a bit more and make the fight easier.
