The “Create” button to the left of the touchpad allows you to enable capture or capture of screenshots. You can set three different commands: one to press the button once, one to hold the button, and another to press it twice.
We here at My city We recommend the Easy Screenshots settings for the following reasons:
- A simple tap on the Create button creates a quick screenshot, ideal for capturing multiple shots during a cutscene or quickly taking a screenshot of hectic gameplay
- By holding down the Create button, you can specifically choose whether to enable manual recording (up to an hour of footage at a time), take a screenshot, or save current gameplay
- Double-pressing allows you to save a current clip as its own file (ideal for creating a separate video file of a unique moment).
You can set the length of the current gameplay clip to your liking, between 15 seconds and an hour. We recommend setting this to around 15 minutes or less, as you can record up to an hour of video anyway if you record manually by holding down the Create button and selecting Record.
To record video clips up to an hour long, simply press and hold the Create button and select Start New Recording. We recommend completing these recordings around the 50 minute mark (you can see the current length of the clip you recorded by holding down the Create button) as an inevitable indicator will appear at the top center of your screen, as soon as you exceed the mark while recording exceeds the 55:00 minute mark.
Finally, and perhaps most importantly, make sure you turn off “Show save confirmation for screenshots.” This will prevent an icon from appearing every time you take a screenshot. If you leave this option on, quick screenshots may cause this notification to appear in the top right of your screenshot, which isn’t ideal for a perfect shot. You still need to be careful about accidentally clicking the Create button too quickly, as the recent gameplay recording notification is still enabled and can be seen in a screenshot. Therefore, avoid spam with screenshots.
