Changing the time of day is a crucial aspect of mastering Dragon’s Dogma 2. The game is significantly different whether it is day or night. But it’s not really convenient to wait 20 minutes while the sun goes down. In other words, you want to check the time of day from time to time.

How long is a day in Dragon’s Dogma 2?
Dragon’s Dogma 2 has an approximate 48 minute day-night cycle
Some quests – timed quests – are also affected by the passage of time. If you wait too long to complete an accepted quest, the quest will either end “badly” or simply fail.
Meanwhile, items in your inventory can change over time: an apple, for example, becomes a ripe apple (which heals more) and then a rotten apple (which poisons) over the course of a few days.
How to change the time of day at an inn or camp
When you’re in the wild, you’re going to come across something on a regular basis Campsites. At these campfires you can, among other things: Camping equipment To Set up camp. If you are in a settlement you may find one Inn – Building with a blue chimney sign in front of the door.
When you interact with your bedding in one camp, you can choose to sleep until the next one Morning or Evening. In an inn you have to pay for a bed. The price is quite high and usually costs around 1,500 to 2,000 gold per night.
Wherever you sleep, you have the option Rest until morning or Rest until nightfall. Both options fast forward time to the next day or night. If you’re staying at an inn, also create a location to return to with the Load and save the last inn option – but note that this will overwrite your last autosave.
How to change the time of day on a bench
There are benches in cities and settlements that you can interact with. You can only interact with those whose seat is made of red fabric – the others are just decoration. You can find out which benches you can pass the time on by looking for a bank-shaped icon on your minimap.
A few seconds after sitting on a bench, you have the opportunity to do this doze off (just like you do in an oxcart when fast traveling).
While you sleep in the camp or in an inn, you fast forward time to the next day or night, and when you fall asleep you are about halfway there. If you want to last from day to night, you may need to fall asleep twice in a row.
