How to complete the King’s Fall raid Deepsight Resonance puzzle in Destiny 2

complete, Deepsight, Destiny, Fall, Kings, puzzle, raid, Resonance

As well as destiny 2‘s Vow of the Disciple Raid from earlier this year, the Redux King’s Fall Raid features a special puzzle that’s guaranteed to yield a Deepsight Resonance red-bordered chest for hard-working Wardens. Completing this puzzle is one of the only ways to get a guaranteed DR weapon each week, and will dramatically speed up your ability to craft the Raid’s excellent weapons.

If you need a refresher on how crafting works in destiny 2check out our guide.

In this determination 2 In King’s Fall guide we will show you how to find the runes during the raid and how to unlock the red border secret chest every week.

note: At the time of writing this article, the puzzle is bugged and occasionally not working. Bungie is aware of the issue, but in our experience the first four runes in the puzzle are randomly disabled. The best way to reset the raid is to go to orbit and try again when you get a rune cluster that contains runes 1-4. If you get a rune cluster where all the runes appear after teleporting into Golgoroth’s Labyrinth (5-9), you should be able to complete the puzzle without any problems.

Reading the runes

When you first spawn in the King’s Fall raid, before grabbing the relic, run down the hallway with the thrall statues and up to the podium where the portal that leads to the rest of the raid is located. Go under the podium and look back at where you spawned. You’ll notice three green runes staring at you: one on your left, one on the ceiling, and one on your right.

This rune meter tells you which three runes to activate as you progress through the King’s Fall raid. Write down their descriptions (or take a screenshot) so you don’t forget them.

note: You can also read the runes after completing the opening encounter, but before going through the portal to the Dreadnaughts encounter.

Compare your runes to the cipher above — Courtesy of Skarrow9’s great video on this puzzle – and assign numbers to them. This correlates with the order in which you encounter the runes. For example, Rune 1 is almost immediately after you enter the portal, while Rune 9 is all the way into Oryx’s chamber.

Once you know what runes to hit, jump through the portal and make your way through King’s Fall.

All rune locations

There are a total of nine runes that you may need to activate in King’s Fall. Below we’ll go through them quickly so you know where to go.

To activate a rune, shoot the glowing green button on the wall. This will reveal and activate the rune. To successfully complete the puzzle, only the three runes that match the runes you read in the opening must be active. If you accidentally turn on the wrong one, press the button again to turn it off.

note: If you are confused by some of the areas we describe, you can use our King’s Fall guide to figure it out.

At the end of the Dick Wall puzzle, look up at the locked door that only opens when all six members of your team are present and you’ll spot the green button.

note: If you enter the vertical jumping puzzle with the big lantern – the one right in front of Oryx’s chamber – you’ve gone too far. This rune is in the Dick Wall Room.

rune 9

In the last boss room, the Chamber of Oryx, go to where the Assembly Flag can be placed and turn around to face the entrance. Look up and you will see the last green button.

If you have solved the puzzle correctly, you will see the message “The runes accept your offer” in the activity feed. When you finish the raid and kill Oryx, a bonus chest will spawn and give you your guaranteed Deepsight Resonance raid weapon.

note: You can only get a guaranteed DR weapon once per account per week. Even if you have three characters, you only have to solve the puzzle once a week.
