merger allows you to transform Necrozma into one of two forms in Pokemon Go.

When it debuts at Go Fest 2024, Necrozma can become Dusk Mane Necrozma and Dawn Wings Necrozma by combining with Solgaleo and Lunala, respectively.

These forms also feature exclusive adventure effects, making them a useful addition to your Pokémon collection.

How to get Dusk Mane Necrozma and Dawn Wings Necrozma in Pokémon Go

To transform Necrozma into its Dusk Mane or Dawn Wings form, it must undergo a process called Fusion, which combines it with the other legendary Pokémon of Generation 7, Solgaleo or Lunala.

Over and beyond The merger process also requires 30 Necrozma candies and 30 Cosmog candies.

From there, Solgaleo or Lunala used to fuse with Necrozma are temporarily unavailable.

Duskmane Necrozma and Dawnwing Necrozma Adventure Effects, Explained

In addition to expanding your Pokémon collection, Dusk Mane Necrozma and Dawn Wings Necrozma have the advantage of coming with a unique Adventure Effect, which are charged attacks that can be used outside of battle to give you temporary bonuses.

These adventure effect moves is automatically acquired as part of the fusion process. This is different from the way you get Adventure Effect moves for Original Forme Dialga and Original Forme Palkia, which were only available by catching a version with that move in a raid (in other words, by chance).

The adventure effects for the two forms of Necrozma are as follows:

• Dusk Mane Necrozma learns Sunsteel Strikethat attracts Pokémon that appear during the day and allows you to evolve Pokémon with daily requirements
• Dawn Wings Necrozma learns Moongeist Beamthat attracts Pokémon that appear at night and allows you to evolve Pokémon with night needs

When active, these Adventure Effects last for 10 minutes and cost 3,000 Stardust and 3 Necrozma Candies per use. You can extend their duration by spending more of the respective currencies, for an additional two hours at a time, up to 24 hours.

Can you separate Necrozma with Solgaleo or Lunala?

Yes, it is possible to reverse the fusion process to turn Dusk Mane Necrozma back into Necrozma and Solgaelo, or Dawn Wings Necrozma back into Necrozma and Lunala.

This process is free — however, at the time of writing, it is unknown whether you will have to spend the same energy and candy costs again if you change your mind and wish to reject it.

What else do we know about the Dusk Mane and Dawn Wings fusion in Pokémon Go?

In addition to the above explanations, here are some additional details and notes about the process that you should consider:

• Dusk Mane Necrozma or Dawn Wings Necrozma cannot be traded with other players or transferred to Pokémon Home. In other words, they remain in your Pokemon Go Account.
• Anyone who wants to use the “Dusk Mane” or “Dawn Wings” forms in battle should know that the basic stats of the Necrozma they are using will be adopted and the stats of Solgaleo or Lunala will not be taken into account.
