How to get to the Cerulean Coast in the Elden Ring DLC

Arrival at Sky blue coast is something you can do immediately in Fire ring‘S Shadow of the Earth Tree DLC – assuming you know the way.

The Cerulean Coast is one of the five main areas in the Realm of Shadow and has its own map fragment for those who want to fully flesh out the world.

However, since the map is two-dimensional, it’s hard to miss the route to the south coast. To get there, you have to traverse a series of underground caves that run beneath the starting area.

The Fire ring The guide explains where to find this route and how to safely complete it to the Cerulean Coast.

How to get to the Cerulean Coast in the Elden Ring DLC

To begin your journey to the Cerulean Coast, start in front of Castle Ensis. In particular, we recommend the Castle Front Site of Grace, which you will find just behind a bridge after you first encounter various NPCs at the intersection in the Gravesite Plain starting area.

From here, head south and then take the road that goes left (not back over the bridge). Follow the path until another path opens up that slopes down to the right and continue in that direction.

Go past the various enemies and the path will fork again. Take the left path under a rock arch.

You will now come to a green swamp-like area. This green patch is visible on the map if that helps you orient yourself.

You’ll find yourself on the edge of a cliff, with a swamp-like area stretching out before you. Drop down a level and head north, away from the cliff, down a grassy slope, towards the blue body of water on the map.

You’ll know you’re in the right area when you see a giant crab in shallow water. Ignore the crab. At the far end of this area, next to a cave opening, is a giant plant enemy. Go inside.

Inside the cave, take the left path up the rocks and follow the straight route until you come to the Ellac River Cave Site of Grace on the right. It is highly recommended to take a break here as a tricky platforming section follows.

If you aren’t already doing so, hit Torrent and continue on, where the route quickly opens up. Keep left and you’ll find yourself at the top of a waterfall, with a line of isolated rocks ahead of you. In the following section, you’ll essentially be following a river down, but let’s take it step by step.

Use these first rocks as platforms to progress. These jumps are deceptively difficult; we recommend doing a double jump early in the jump as the distance between them isn’t as big as you think.

At the bottom you’ll find yourself at the top of another waterfall, with a row of birds sitting on graves in front of you. As you head left you’ll want to sprint past all of these birds on Torrent as fast as you can, as they’ll attack as soon as you get close. Provided you only get hit once you should survive – but if you’re having trouble here, try to get some Scadutree Fragments to bolster your defenses.

On the other side of this section – where you have the rock wall to your right – there are more rocks you can jump down. You don’t have to jump here – point the camera so you can see down and just let yourself jump down each time – until you reach the Ellac River Downstream Site of Grace.

You’re almost done with this section of the river. Stay on the right and go down another level. At the mouth, keep staying on the right to avoid the water and get out.

You will be greeted by a Furnace Golem. Ignore it for now and rush to the right of the golem. There will be a cave opening on your right – use it.

This will open the door to the Cerulean Coast. You did it! Take a break at the Cerulean Coast Site of Grace so you can quickly travel here and save yourself from having to repeat this journey again.

Before you travel any further, however, we strongly recommend that you head south and follow the path through the open area. On the other side is the area’s map fragment. Directly to the south, there is also a Miquell’s Cross and a Scadutree Fragment.

And with that, you have another region to explore. There’s more DLC armor and DLC weapons to find, and more bosses to defeat if you’re strong enough.
