Toxel made its global debut in Pokémon Go as part of the “Into the Wild” event in November 2024.
The 8th generation electric and toxic baby has one evolution, Toxtricity, but with two different forms – Amped Form and Low Key Form.
At debut, you couldn't catch Toxel or Toxtricity in the wild, making it harder to find – although both are getting easier with the introduction of Go Wild Area Global.
This is how you get Toxel in Pokémon Go during the Into the Wild event and how to evolve it into its various forms.
How to get Toxel in Pokémon Go
Toxel was released worldwide as part of the Into the Wild event. You can get one of Hatch 10 km long eggs received during the Into the Wild event and the Go Wild Area Global event (November 18-24)
Although there is paid research as part of the Into the Wild event, there is no guaranteed Toxel encounter. Something that may help: During the Go Wild Area Global event, ticket holders will see the walking distance halved – giving you more chances to hatch eggs over the weekend.
How to get Toxtricity in Pokémon Go
There are several ways to get Toxtricity in Pokémon Go during the Into the Wild and Go Wild Area Global event week:
- Evolve Toxel into Toxtricity, which requires a whopping 400 Toxel Candies.
- Complete Dynamax or Gigantamax Toxtricity Max battles and catch them in the subsequent encounter.
- Complete Toxtricity raids and catch them in the subsequent encounter with a chance of them having a special background.

Here's how to get Enhanced Toxtricity Form or Low-Key Form in Pokémon Go
In the main Pokémon games, Toxel evolves into one of two Toxtricity forms due to its nature, but since then Pokémon Go There is no nature to what form of toxicity you get randomly.
To develop Toxel for Reinforced shape or Restrained form From Toxtricity you just have to hope that you get lucky and get the result you want.
Alternatively, Both forms appear in Raids and Max Battles throughout the Go Wild Area Globalso keep an eye on the version you don't have on the event weekend.
Luckily, both forms of Gigantamax exist exactly the same in Max Battles, so you don't have to worry too much about getting both versions there.
The shapes seem to be too purely cosmetic when it comes to that Pokémon Goas the two have the same movesets and base stats.
Can Toxel shine in Pokémon Go?
Yes, when it was first introduced, Toxel fully debuted with the ability to be shiny. However, as always, you'll have to be very lucky to find one!
