The Choir of One Exotic Catalysts are locked behind a quest chain in Fate 2 called “//Choir: Eternal.” You must use the “Encore“Complete the exotic mission once to access it, then find a series of secret chests to complete it.
In this Fate 2 In this guide we will show you how to Subsistence catalyst for Choir of One and where to find three of the secret chests in the exotic mission “Encore” (out of a total of seven secret chests).
note: Like most exotic missions, the remaining catalysts for Choir of One are time-limited for the next few weeks. We will update this guide with details on how to obtain the Destabilizing rounds And Rush Catalysts and the four remaining secret chests in Encore as they become available.
How to get the Subsistence Catalyst for Choir of One
Once you have completed the Encore mission and continued the quest, you can Banshee-44 in the tower and he gives you the “//Choir: Eternal” quest. This quest requires you to find the first secret chest in the Encore mission and then complete the mission on Expert difficulty.
If Banshee doesn’t have the quest when you visit him, collect the Secret Chests listed below and complete the mission on Expert difficulty. “//Choir: Eternal” is retroactiveand you can accept the Subsistence masterpiece even if you didn’t have the quest in your inventory when you completed the steps.
How to open the first secret chest in “Encore”
During the first run of the mission “Encore” in Fate 2you will receive the NES007 sample as soon as you reach Maya’s lab. Continue with the “Ascending Chorus: Act Three” quest to complete the sample research, which will earn you the “Conductor’s Imprint Codes” research instrument with failsafe. This will allow you to return to the exotic mission “Encore” and unlock new secrets.
Load the Encore mission (Expert is not required to find the chests, but if you want the catalyst you can do that too) and play until just before the first puzzle. Don’t go right to the CONNECTION node, go left.
You’ll find yourself in a room full of dead portals and a tower switch. Flip the switch and the room will come alive. Eventually, a few cubes will appear in the sky above where the tower was. Wait for a smaller cube to appear under one of the larger ones. This little die indicates which die you should shoot first.. Shoot the cubes in the correct order – by shooting the cube above the small cube and then waiting for the indicator to reappear – until you have destroyed all four. This completes the first synchronization.
The cubes will then move to the four portals in the room. Again, be patient and wait until the small cube appears and guides you. Destroy all four in the correct order to unlock the Secondary Transit Nexus and get the first secret chest.
How to open the second secret chest in “Encore”
Once you reach the second puzzle room, before you take the elevator to the first portal node, you’ll see another access tower appear in the middle of your path (assuming you completed the first secret chest and unlocked the Nexus). Access it to open the portal to your right, which will take you back to the hub. Go into the Nexus and take the other portal to your left to return to the beginning of the mission.
Near the Radiolaria Waterfall you will find another tower that you can access. When you do so it will appear several bronze plates around the arena that you can shoot at. To find them all, follow the faint white lines that connect each panel to the spire itself. When you see a panel, shoot it with any weapon.
There are five panels to shoot at in total. None of them are hidden, but they might be at the back of a building or otherwise facing away from the tower. You have 90 seconds to get them all, which is more than enough time for this tiny arena.
Once you reach the final plate, you will receive the Vector Expansion Triumph, some bonus loot, and Command frame 2the upgrade to the intrinsic advantage for Choir of One.
How to open the third secret chest in “Encore”
Go through the mission until you reach the end, just before you enter the boss arena. In Maya’s study is the Ishtar Research FacilityYou will find another tower once you have activated the first secret chest. Walk towards it, enter it and a portal will appear at the back of the room. Go inside and cross the transit node to the portal on the other side of the room. Take it and you will appear in the Deviant Code Containment area.
In front of you are five portals, lots of ACCESS nodes, and two ACCESS modules. Above you, you’ll notice five purple blobs, some of which are shielded and have lasers aimed at them. Pop all five purple blobs before one of them reappears, so they’re all dead at once. They seem to have a timer, which makes it much more efficient in a group.
To destroy them, all you have to do is shoot them. The problem is that you can’t shoot through the ceiling or their square shields, so you have to go through the portals to get line of sight on the portals without shields first, which will make the shields around the others disappear. The other problem is that the portals are all jumbled up and don’t directly correlate with the purple patch above them.
When you insert an ACCESS module into an ACCESS node, the portal next to it lights up. However, the portal sends a line to one of the red diamonds above the other portals in the room and lights it up. This shows you where the portal is actually taking you. So, for example, if portal #1 is the leftmost portal and you activate it, a line will be drawn to portal #4, which is the fourth portal from the left. When you go through portal 1, you are above portal #4.
Figure out where each portal leads through trial and error. Once you’ve done that, look up at the ceiling to see which purple blobs aren’t shielded and teleport your allies to the right spots to take them out. Once you’ve destroyed all the blobs at once, the secret chest will appear in the middle of the room.
The only other thing you have to worry about in this area is the Legion of Vex that spawn here. They aren’t all that strong unless you’re alone or at expert level, in which case you should either slow down to deal with them or have a person dedicated to clearing out add-ons.
We’ll update this guide with even more secret chests and catalysts as they appear!
