During Halo infinity is inherently a first-person game, meaning not how so many other games designed to be played a certain waywe can’t play it Another way if we want.
When PC gamer reports, there’s now a new mod that lets you play the entire campaign from the third-person perspective, not just the sections where you’re holding a massive weapon. Which may sound pointless at first since this is an FPS game, but one look at the mod in action will make you realize that this might be something worth investigating:
Doesn’t look like it Great? So many of this kind Mods that change the perspective of an entire game from the perspective it was meant to be played in end up looking broken or unfinished (and often just as badly played) simply because we should never be able to see a first-person character’s kneecaps.
However bbecause Halo infinity already has all this stuff built into his animations from tower sequences and multiplayer, This looks as seamless and natural as if it were a switch you could flip from the main menu. Which…it basically is once you install the mod, but more on that in a moment.
It’s the work of Opulent Halo, who also created all the videos in this post. The above is more of a general showcase, while this one below removes the HUD for something that looks even more cinematic, if largely unplayable:
If you want to try the mod for yourself – and right now it only works in the game’s main campaign – you’ll need to download the mod first Infinite runtime tag viewerthen Get the mod yourself here. It gets a bit fiddly after that, so you can check out a tutorial that includes Opulent Halo to help people install it below:
