Infinity NikkiThe highly anticipated RPG that combines open-world exploration with a dress-up game is almost here.
Created by Singapore-based studio Infold Games, Infinity Nikki is the next part of the Nikki dress-up game series. It can be pre-downloaded from Tuesday, but the official launch will take place on Thursday. The game is scheduled to release on mobile devices, PlayStation 5 and Windows PC. The developers released one New story trailer Monday eveningin which a scenario was hinted at where Nikki will save a mystical god of wishes.
Based on the new trailer, it looks like the story will contain various fantasy elements. Infinity Nikki takes place in a world called Miraland. In it there is a magical forest where fairy creatures called fairy spirits collect people's wishes for a god. However, it looks like this god is gone and it's up to Nikki to save him. We don't know all the details yet, but the trailer also gave us a glimpse of two characters, including a possible villain who looks like a Disney prince turned into a Final Fantasy character.
The hype around Infinity Nikki was quite high. That's largely because it's rare to find a fashion-focused adventure game, let alone one that offers open-world exploration, a comprehensive story, and plenty of puzzles. Additionally, credits to the development team, including a developer from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wildhave helped to further increase interest in the game and strengthen the studio's reputation. In August of this year, Infold Games ran a closed beta, and soon everyone interested will have the opportunity to try it out.
