The newest Pokemon is called Bellibolt and it generates electricity from its very cute, stretchy belly. Bellibolt is a very round electric frog with two adorable little eyes and a big smiley face. This means the bumps on the sides of his head aren’t actually his eyes, but they’re not just decoration; there the stream is ejected.

Bellibolt stretches and contracts its elastic body to generate electricity in an organ that looks like a belly button. This was announced by the Pokémon Company It’s “difficult to train Bellibolt to start a fight” unless it’s attacked first. As for his ability, Electromorphosis, the move works by charging Bellibolt when attacked and “increasing the power of the next electric move it uses”.
Iono and Bellibolt fight out of Paldea’s Levincia gym, but Iono is more than just a gym manager: she’s also a streamer with a live broadcast called “Iono Zone.” The Pokémon Company called Levincia one of Paldea’s “outstanding cities”.
Pokemon scarlet and violet Launching on Nintendo Switch on November 18th. Part of the ninth generation of the Pokémon franchise, the games transport players to the new Paldea region inspired by the Iberian Peninsula in Europe and Portugal.
The Pokémon Company has already revealed more than a dozen of Paldea’s new creatures, including Grafaiai, Fidough, Paldean Wooper, Cetitan, Cyclizar, Smoliv, Lechonk, and Pawmi. There are also the new starters – Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly – alongside the legendary Pokemon Koraidon, Miraidon, and Wiglett, a fidgety-looking Pokemon very similar to Diglett.
