It’s always a good time to play Persona 3

Same goes for Person 4which has now been ported so many times (I played it on Vita first!) that it is in the same place. Basically when people talk about modern person Games, they usually talk about these two games.

Persona 3, a little less, so I’d like to talk about this tonight in honor of our backlog month and see if I can add it to your list of games you should really play.

Now that we’ve found out how much I love Person 3I’m going to tell you now that when it comes to deciding which version of the game to play, I am in love Person 3 Handheld port even more. Persona 3 wearable was first released on PSP in 2009 and I think it’s a modern marvel of game (re-) design because it’s at the heart of the person experience and reconstruct it for a portable platform in a way that Persona 4 Golden couldn’t nearly match.

Because the PSP couldn’t cope with the 3D overworld of Person 3, or adjust its lavish animated cutscenes in its limited storage space, these two pillars of the Person 3 The experiences on PS2 are gone, and while the loss of the anime-style sequences was a bummer and the 3D gameplay was retained for the dungeon and combat, what Atlus did to replace the 3D exploration areas was a Stroke of genius. Instead of removing the 3D sections with low-resolution textures and simpler models, they threw them away and completely replaced them with a static, isometric version of Person 3

This was and is the superior way to play person. The series’ overworlds may look busier in recent entries, but they’re still incredibly sparse in terms of what you can actually interact with, and frolicking around looking for a conversation or story sequence can be a drag. Persona 3 portables System is a faster, cleaner way to spend your downtime. and has the added benefit of looking amazing. I have hoped for it for years Person 4 I have a mobile port that looked like this, and a small part of me want the same thing from Person 5.

And we don’t even have the best about it! No, the best part of Person 3 portable was that in addition to changing perspective and some other administrative cleanups (like new levels of difficulty) the handheld port added a whole second protagonistThat said, if you’ve already played through the main game, surprisingly you can play it all over again and have a completely different experience.

With the original protagonist a boy, Portable Adding a girl meant your romance options were completely reversed, and new social links and dialogue options were also added. Imagine if you could play through People 4 & 5 like this! Romancing Yusuke would be worth the price of admission alone.

If Person 3 is behind or just on a “must-try one day” list and you haven’t made it yet. Please try to fix the problem as soon as possible. Even in 2021, it is more than worth the effort to jump through to play it because while official copies are very expensive now, I’m sure you are a smart person who can find other ways to get it to play.
