Latest Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 missions are here. This week’s questline once again requires you to complete tasks for Jones and Hope in their long-term plans to defeat Doom, while facing off against another of Marvel’s villain bosses. This guide will tell you everything you need to know to complete these quests.
The Illusionist
- Level 1 – Mysterio wants this place to look perfect
- Level 2 – I’ve been having strange conversations with loops near me. Be on high alert.
- Level 3 – Is everyone… brainwashed?
- Phase 4 – I investigate. I’m after Mysterio, and he won’t know what’s happening.
- Level 5 – You can’t brainwash innocent people, Mysterio! It ends today!
- Level 6 – Mysterio no longer rules this city. Let’s leave our mark.
- Level 7 – Doom will hate this
Mysterio wants this place to look perfect
The first part of this story quest is extremely easy to complete. You need to visit Doomstadt and drop five common items anywhere (it can be the same item five times in a row!). Once you do that, Jones and Hope will call you and talk about how weird things feel because of Mysterio.

To complete this quest, you must hit an enemy within ten seconds of leaving a hideout. We recommend staying in Doomstadt and running into some bushes. As soon as you see an AI or player, jump out and land a single shot. Only one needs to hit to complete the quest.
Has everyone been brainwashed
For this part of the quest, you will either need to wake up brainwashed characters or eliminate three hired AIs. We recommend waking up the characters, as this part doesn’t involve fighting other people. You will need to talk to Rust, Peabody, and Brite Raider.
When you get to them and open the dialogue graph, you will see an option to wake them up from the illusion. Once you are done with them, Hope will call you and say that everything Doom and his friends have done is wrong.
I’m investigating. I’m after Mysterio, and he won’t know what’s happening.
This part of the quest takes you back to Doomstadt. When you get there, you’ll need to destroy five security cameras. They’re scattered throughout the area and you won’t have to look far to find them.
You can’t brainwash innocent people, Mysterio! That ends today!
In this part of the quest, you will have to kill Mysterio. As soon as you start the fight with him, he will teleport and clone himself. With that in mind, we highly recommend that you grab a shotgun and shoot him before that happens so you can do as much damage as possible.
If you’re having trouble finding the real one, look at his health bar –The original has several bars, but the clones have only one line. So make sure you focus on this one. After you kill him, Hope and Jones will call you and explain how they plan to get Doom off the island.
Mysterio no longer rules this city. Let us leave our mark.
This quest is pretty simple. Once you kill Mysterio, stay in Doomstadt and use the spray emote four times on every structure in the area.
Doom will hate this.
The last part of this quest is another easy task, you just need to use the special spray like before, but this time make sure you use it on the statue in the center of Doomstadt. Once you’re done, the Oracle and Hope will call you, they’ll talk nonsense and you’ll be done with all of the Illusionist’s quests.
