Super robot wars, one of the longest running and numerous Video game series of all time is back and this time celebrating its 30th birthday.

A series of tactics in which many of Japan’s most popular giant robot / mecha characters are thrown into battle together over the years Characters from Gundam, Mazinger, Macross and Neon Genesis (to name a few) all of them in one place.

Super Robot Wars 30 got introduced during Nintendo Japan own E3 Direct, and you can check out the debut trailer below.

It is due to appear later this year and, in addition to being released on the Switch, it will also appear for PS4 and Steam, the latter of which is very interesting given the series – which, depending on the number, includes well over 50 games numbers of its spin-off titles, to which You want to count –has never been brought to the West before (although some games have been translated into English for the Southeast Asian release).

There’s still no word on whether a Steam version would be limited to a Japanese-only publication for a global market or for licensing reasons (although rarely, Some Steam games may actually be regionally blocked).
