This time, no one will be afraid to see the Kingdom Hearts spin-off, as there are more distractions than the chapters of the great series. But there is no one like Melody of Memory.
The fourteenth video game based on this alliance between Disney and Square Enix, and something very different from everything else, as it is a celebration of the most beautiful songs left in the rhythm. Contains 140 themes that are well-known by the graduates, a museum full of images and other details of collectors and a World Tour mode that brings back 18 years of proverbs.
Its mechanics should be understood as automatic players or endless runners, where the characters always run forward at each level without the player being able to control their attention. In his ministry he has a short list of heroes who attack with their sword whatever comes their way by pressing a button. In addition to the basic punch, you should also skip the projectile and slide to collect music notes, or make some combos by hitting as a group.
Each move earns points (Miss, Good, Great, or Excellent) in terms of accuracy and accumulated streak.
With so many flying objects coming to you (or you are looking at them, it doesn’t matter) in a typical difficulty, it takes getting used to, but there is no sense of the problem. Keystroke’s answer is straightforward and quick, so just spend some time on each level until you read the captions and do the default processes.
It is respected that there are a variety of difficulty options, because everyone should be invited to this group. We say it in a special One Button mode, which we say all in its name, and in the Performer mode at the opposite end, which increases the difficulty by ten.
To prevent everything from being flat, there are very different situations such as RPG game tourist controls or levels of music altogether, where there are no enemies and you feel like Guitar Hero, follow music based on hunting notes and complete special tricks like handling a stick on one side. They are special moments and as a result, Square Enix has done a little for you to try to enjoy that backyard while playing. However, these two types of levels are not as well completed as the main machines.
The main mode of Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory is the World Tour, which is a space trip across the Disney world visited by the proverb, this time in chronological order. Once unlocked, the Super Mario map allows you to go back to anyone at any time to repeat the game and try to complete multiple objectives and earn stars, score points or try a more complex level. It does not always reach the end or exceed the point mark, there are other challenges such as eliminating a certain amount of life, for example.
It’s an interesting way to organize content and compose more songs, but it has its negative points. The first is that although it does summarize the history of the Kingdom Hearts, it is not recommended to take it as the first way to understand its controversy. I don’t get too involved in this strategy and the extra narrative pieces I’ve opened have worked to make me more destructive. And I didn’t like the way the teams were honored when it came to choosing characters, because there are others like Simba, Beast or Aladdin who work as guests only occasionally.
The interior, on the other hand, is amazing. We’re talking about great sports and great artistic talent in design, so being able to learn more about how things are done and knowing the whole creative process is a joy. They’ve also included video scenes and there’s a player who can listen to all the music, with a version like Nintendo Swith that looks like a great travel company. It’s all linked to the game in the form of prizes, so fighting for and getting it is a great incentive.
Interestingly, Square Enix also added multiplayer mode to compete with other people online or offline. It is not a straightforward duel, but it contains more points than the enemy, though objects can be used to add a little spice. For example, in one of these games someone made a spell that cleared the marks on the screen, so you should have found out when you were going to hit by connecting sight and, above all, hearing.
Kingdom Hearts: The Melody of Memory is a lot of fun and is a great example of how you can make a game with a rhythm that works well and is practical. The mechanics are working well, as the company has already been certified from Theatrhythm Final Fantasy. And with that visual and musical past, it’s not just about content, but also the luxury of making a museum to see. After all, no one thinks they will be able to get about 18 years of conspiracy, because that goal has not been achieved.
