League of Legends The first animated series comes to Netflix. League of Legends Arcane According to a new teaser trailer released on Monday, the streaming service will come out later this fall.
The teaser may only be a few seconds long, but it already seems to reveal some things about what the show’s plot might involve. The trailer begins with a fight between Vi, Jinx, the already familiar parts of the League of Legends
While we already knew about it first teaser of the series While it would likely be about the origins of Jinx and Vi, it seems that this new character could be part of the reason the two eventually became enemies.
Along with their story, we’ll likely also get a backstory of the two competing cities of Runeterra, Piltover and Fence – which may be the green-lighted city we see at the end of the teaser. Both cities are obsessed with technology, but while Piltover is a steampunk utopia, Zaun’s untested experimentation produced a much darker result.
If the series revolves around these two cities, it’s also possible that we’ll see performances by recognizable characters like Viktor, Warwick, Caitlyn or one of the dozen or so other champions from the region.
League of Legends Arcane is produced by Riot Games in association with Fortiche Productions, with whom it has worked on several film and music videos in the past. The series will be released on Netflix later this fall.
