Riot revealed Viego, the ruined king, in a fantastic movie trailer during his 2021 year League of Legends Festival video, but it didn’t give us a lot of details about what he would actually do in the game. Fortunately, the complete kit was released on the League of Legends website Just minutes after the stream, we now know exactly what Viego is capable of.
Viego is a jungler who can rush to enemies to stun them and then own them once they are defeated. If he owns an enemy champion, he can use all of that champion’s basic abilities as well as his own ultimate. This certainly makes Viego unique, but it should also make him one of them leagueThe toughest champions as you need to know how to make good use of every other champion in the game to get the most out of them.
Viego will likely hit them League of Legends Public beta environment sometime in the next few weeks, should make its way to live play before the end of the month. Before he gets there, here’s a look at Viego’s entire skill kit:
Passive – rule of the sovereign
Viego can temporarily have enemy champions who will help him kill the heal for part of their maximum health. While owned, Viego’s items, attacks, and non-ultimate abilities become those of his slain enemy, and he is given a free cast of his own ultimate heartbreaker.
While Viego owns an enemy, he also gains extra movement speed when moving towards enemy champions.
Q – Blade of the Destroyed King
Passive: Viego’s attacks deal a percentage of the target’s current health as bonus damage on hit. When Viego attacks an enemy, he recently hit them with an ability that the attack hits twice.
The second strike drains health from the target instead of doing regular damage, but still affects on-hit effects and can strike critically.
This passive is retained during possession.
Active: Viego stabs forward with its blade, damaging all enemies it hits.
W – spectral throat
Viego charges up and then rushes forward, hurling a burst of fog that stuns and damages the first enemy hit.
Stun duration and fog range do not increase with loading time, damage and strike range do not increase.
E – Harrowed Path
Viego spreads a wave of black mist around a nearby wall. Viego is camouflaged in the fog and gains in attack speed and movement speed.
R – heartbreaker
Viego discards any bodies he currently has and teleports forward, attacking the enemy champion within range with the lowest health percentage and dealing bonus damage based on his lack of health.
Other enemies within range are knocked out.
