League of Legends players arrested by police officer in internet cafe

The suspect is arrested while playing League of Legends in an internet cafe

Last week in the Chinese city of Chongqing a senior League of Legends Player was presented to the public over the loudspeakers of an internet café. Among the people who passed his screen to check him out was a cop who … thought the player looked like a suspect.

Like this story on Baijiahao Reports, Rookie cop Zhang Yihao was at an internet cafe with some colleagues last week when he had to take a toilet break. On the way back, the cafe announced the presence of the challenger – something that’s pretty common in China – so he glanced at the ranked player.

Quickly realizing that the player matched the description of a case that Yihao was aware of a few days earlier, he took a picture, checked the man’s appearance, confirmed the suspect, and then notified some on-duty personnel Police officers who quickly teamed up with Yihao and his friends to arrest the player.

I realize this is a very strange sequence of words to read all at once, so here’s the footage of the whole thing, from the first passage to the photos to the arrest:
