The Pokémon Center has become a leader in round, squishy, and large things. First we got this comically large, life-sized spheal. Now the online seller of Pokémon merchandise has released another banger: Pokémon bean bags. Fans can pre-order from us from Wednesday Pokémon x Yogibo line. Interested buyers have the opportunity to purchase round, plump bean bag versions of Lechonk, Gengar and Jigglypuff.
Yogibo has a reputation for making comfortable (and stylish) bean bags. The website touts bean bag innovations such as a “patented combination of inner and outer shells” that allows the bags to conform to your body. However, these particular sacks come with a hefty price tag: All three versions of the bean bag – Lechonk, Gengar, and Jigglypuff – retail for $299.99. So you have to stand on your feet if you want a lechonk that will cradle your body.
Each bean bag measures 30 x 30 x 30 inches and weighs approximately 12 pounds. That’s enough to hold up a butt, but it might not be a full-body lounger for a full-grown adult. Still, the overall look of these chairs made me laugh. First of all, I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a well-rounded version of Gengar. Sure, he’s always had a chubby physique for a ghost guy, but now he’s fully committed to basketball. I also just love the little nubby feet at the bottom. You can check out front and side view pictures of it below to get an idea of how well rounded this bad boy is.
The Jigglypuff has a great color and would be an incredible addition to anyone who wants more pink decor in their life. However, I still can’t get over the completely blank look in his eyes. It’s just a little deflated. It seems like Jigglypuff is internally screaming for help in his new life as a seat for humans.
Personally I think the winner of the three is Lechonk. This pig and his eye-level smile seem ready and happy to be the seat of your choice. The best part is that it looks kind of cute even when squished.
If any of these three options work for you, you can pre-order them on the Now available on the Pokémon Center website.
