For the past few months, LEGO and Adidas have released sneakers as part of a large licensing collaboration, and they have been to the last dreadful. For example, take a look at this ZX 8000, a shoe that launched in adult sizes in 2020:

Or how they somehow turned my all-time favorite sneaker, the Ultraboost, into whatever that abomination:

Anyway, these are real shoes designed to be worn. Now Adidas and LEGO have released a shoe made of bricks and while I’ve seen LEGO at work magic on a licensed subject, this is the opposite of magic:

See maybe I’m too tough here Maybe this is should looking like shit, as Adidas may be hitting the pre-minifig days of LEGO as a retro shoe when everything looked strangely angular and disproportionate:

Or maybe giant shoes should never be made out of LEGO.

These go on sale for $ 90 on July 1st, and if nothing else, at least I like the box it comes in.
