Finally, after the first release in August, the Lego version of Luigi gets its own sets. But poor blocky Luigi, it seems Nintendo and Lego want to torment him, because the new sets are all based on Luigi’s mansion. Don’t you know that Luigi (and his Lego version) is afraid of ghosts! Fortunately, Professor E. Gadd is here to help Luigi in his need. Well, it will be when these new sets come out in January.

Announced yesterday, just in time for Halloween, Lego brings three new ones Luigi’s mansion-Theme sets to his Mario and Luigi Lego play sets. Like the games, these spooky courses feature lots of ghosts for Luigi to avoid or capture. Luigi even gets his Poltergust vacuum cleaner backpack as a Lego accessory.

The cheapest set is the Lab and Poltergust Expansion Set, which costs $ 30 and comes with the Poltergust itself, which Luigi can use to catch the golden spirit and collect a coin reward. You can also talk to Luigi E. Gadthat comes with the set and can offer potions to players.

The second box, which costs a little more at $ 40, is the Entryway Expansion Set. This playset gives Luigi access to the mansion. Once inside, players must defeat Bogmire. Or they just find a bone and give it to Polterpup, who I assume is a good boy and deserves the treat.

The third and last set is also the most expensive. The Haunt-and-Seek Expansion Set is $ 80. With this playset, players can create their own haunted levels for Luigi to explore. Includes stones and parts needed to create rotating corridors, ghost fights, and quests to collect gems.

You can also combine all three sets into one massive and very enchanted mansion play set for Luigi– or his Lego brother Mario – compete alone or together.

Annoyingly, none of these options (like previous expansions in this topic) include Mario or Luigi. So you need to pick up a starter kit with one of the famous plumbers before you can fully enjoy one of the new expansions.

All three new Luigi’s mansion Sets will be released separately on January 1, 2022 and can be found everywhere you normally go shopping for Lego. If you’re not interested in these playsets and just want classic Nintendo nostalgia about Lego bricks, you can check out the big $ 170 Mario 64 Lego question block set released in Septemberr, but currently only available on Lego.com or in Lego stores.
