We know the outside of the PS5 is just two large white fins, but the inside is still one secret. So the good people at iFixit got you one and tore it to piecessupposedly to gauge its worth repairing, but really only so we can all marvel at the carnage of it all.

And the fan, locked with very fancy (and difficult) T8 Torx security screws, looks like something you would drop into a starship’s warp drive just in time to jump to safety before the evil alien mothership you and your friends would explode into space dust.

You can get a good look at the whole thing in this hour-long video put together by iFixit of the console being taken apart live. Well worth it if you just watch the heat sink taken out and held in hand, like an elaborate steampunk death harmonica.
