Location and Walkthrough of Wao-os Shrine in Zelda: TOTK

Wao-os Shrine is an inner shrine The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the KingdomRegion of the Hebra Mountains.

Location of the Wao-os Shrine

Wao-os Shrine occurs in the region of the Hebra Mountains. Its exact location is (-4059, 1991, 0183). Since it’s cold there, you need some spicy dishes or elixirs or, even better, the Snowquill armor set. The Rospro Pass Skyview Tower is just northeast of the shrine.

The quest “The Guidance of the White Bird” as a shrine

If you talk to Laissa on the northwest side of Rito Village, she will tell you about a cave she found recently.

The Shrine quest “The Guidance of the White Bird”. She asks you to look west for an early morning single from Van Medoh’s Perch – the stone tower around which Rito Village was built white bird rests on the long shadow of the perch.

Wait for the morning and make your way to the top of Van Medoh’s Perch. When the sun rises, the shadow it casts on the mountains to the west will look like a perch, and near where it falls there is a patch of snow that looks like a white bird. There you will find it west Totori Lake Cave and Wao-os Shrine.

Glide over to the white bird – it’s about a full stamina ring from Van Medoh’s Perch – and end up there in the snow. There is a korok under the stone that forms the bird’s eye, and the West Lake Totori Cave is on the left.

Inside, follow the path past the pond and down to find Wao-os Shrine.

Walkthrough to Wao-os Shrine

Wao-os Shrine lets you play with a makeshift catapult.

1. When you enter the Wao-os Shrine, there is a closed gate on the left next to a large bowl, a ball and a cube. There’s a seesaw on the edge of the platform you’re on and there are two targets on the other side of a large gap.

2. Use Ultrahand Glue the bowl to the end of the seesaw, then place the ball in the bowl (but don’t attach it).

3. Lift the metal cube up in the air as high as possible. Use the green shadow it casts to line it up with the other end of the plank.

4. Drop it to launch the ball. It should achieve the lower of the two goals.

5. Pull the bowl off the rocker.

6. Take the plank behind the gate you just opened and attach it to the seesaw to extend it. However, do not put the bowl back on just yet.

7. Pick up the cube and stand on the newly deployed catapult.

8. Drop it to move mostly straight up. Put on your glider and look for a chest with one on the right wall spicy elixir.

9. Reattach the bowl to the floor on the extended rocker.

10. Put the ball in the bowl and launch it. This time the higher goal should be achieved.

11. Climb into the bowl and jump over to follow it.

12. Glide through the exit and collect your luggage light of blessing.
