„Schau, Bruder, ich bin dabei, dich zu verkleiden.“

Ever do something in your home and think it’s cool and then share it with people online only to get barbecued for ruining the happiness of others? That’s what happened to internet personality Logan Paul, who wrapped a bunch of gorgeous Game Boy colors in resin to get a Pokémon Tabletop.

Paul posted the project on TikTok and shared a clip on Twitter on December 26th. He took 15 Game Boy Colors, including the seemingly limited edition Pokémon– themed one and one dandelion yellow version and encased them in several pounds of epoxy. After Paul had positioned the consoles and covered them with gel, Paul covered the tabletop with a metal pokéball frame.

He posted as shorter follow-up video shows how the table lights up and changes its colors, from blue to purple to red to green and back again. It actually looks tight! It’s also a solid way to preserve some of the game’s history by repurposing something old into something artistic and functional.

But since it’s the internet, people are very pissed off about it.

Several people complained about Paul’s outrageous act, “[putting people’s] Luck in an epoxy and [wasting] it “, too quote a user. Honestly, people are freaking out! Another said “Drowning” in Harz was not necessary for the project, while another noted that other methods – like a glass display – would have been “easier” and “forever customizable”.

However, by far, people are most pressured about Paul allegedly destroying 15 Game Boy Colors. Because you see, the handhelds he’s supposed to be ruining are perfectly fine – at least according to everyone’s speculation. No matter that Game Boy Colors are available on both Amazon and eBay, in addition to thrift stores, thrift stores, and the like. And it is certainly not the case that he can do what he wants with what he buys. God forbid.
