The Joker comes to MultiVersus as part of the fighting game’s relaunch later this month, and actor Mark Hamill will reprise his role as the Clown Prince of Crime for the occasion. Developer Player First Games and Warner Bros. Games introduced Joker in a new gameplay trailer that includes another fun surprise: The Powerpuff Girls are coming MultiVersus as well as.
While we don’t get to see Buttercup, Blossom and Bubbles in action, the Powerpuff Girls are teased in the first few seconds of Monday’s Joker trailer. They will probably fight as a team à la MultiVersus‘ clever version of Tom and Jerry, but we’ll have to wait for the girls’ full reveal to know for sure.
The Joker is a character of the magician class MultiVersus This means he is more of a ranged attacker, relying on weapons and gadgets to do damage. In Joker’s case, he will join the squad armed with a pogo stick, spring-loaded boxing gloves, a rocket launcher, balloons and cartoon-like cannons. His first gameplay trailer also shows off some alternate looks, including Dark Prince Charming and Batman Who Laughs.
Hamill’s return to the role of Joker reunites him with his Batman: The Animated Series Co-star Kevin Conroy, who provided his voice MultiVersus‘ version of the Caped Crusader. Hamill has never really strayed from his version of the Joker, voicing him in more recent animated films and video games Batman: The Deadly Joke And Lego DC Super Villains. MultiVersus will return on May 28th. The game has been offline for almost a year as developer Player First has worked to retool and create new content for the Smash Bros.-inspired brawler.
