We’ve seen bad news coming from TwitchConnow let’s focus our attention on something instead different.

As part of the musical celebrations at last night’s con, Megan Thee Stallion played a set. And for some reason, it showed Master Chief — complete with accreditation ribbon, because this is TwitchCon, not United Nations Space Command — living her best life on stage next to her, at some points dancing in a way I like best described “got ass” (NSFW warning for some of the language in these videos):

It’s not just dancing. John 117 isn’t up there, shuffling sideways in the background, bobbing gently to the beat. Whoever is in that suit underneath.

Here’s another shot:

And another:

And another one, this one a little longer and showing the crowd going completely insane:

TO UPDATE: Here’s the best look:

Twerking fans will notice that Megan Thee Stallion has danced with a tall green person for the second time this year. after her appearance in the Marvel TV series She Hulk. Fans of Shrek and Frankenstein’s monsters should be on high alert right now.

Last week, it was announced that Megan Thee Stallion will be headlining the TwitchCon concert at Petco Park, a show that also featured Kim Petras, Meet Me @ the Altar, DJ Lani Love and TIGERMOMTOY.

TwitchCon, which saw a large crowd for the first time since 2019, began on Friday and will run until later in the evening. Keep that in mind as you watch this footage of large groups of people huddled together (which is taking place off-site, with the main event taking place at the San Diego Convention Center). When the show was first announced, its health and safety guidelines were almost ‘non-existent’ in relation to Covid.. It was only after fan backlash that Twitch implemented a policy that “attendees must now wear masks indoors” and that “all attendees must provide proof of vaccination or a negative Covid test taken within 72 hours of the event.”
