I am a lone wolf. In the Kinja Deals Slack, I’m one of the last not to own a next-gen console. I want a PS5 or Xbox Series X.? Not necessarily, but the FOMO, not having one, gives me beehives. Last week I went on a mission. I wanted to buy the new Xbox controller for my PC. Since shipping on Amazon would take too long (see picture lol), I placed my order Walmart.com and waited patiently for his arrival. From there I overclocked my GPU, paired up that bad boy to my Xbox Wireless Adapter (not required, but essential if you don’t want to wrestle with bluetooth) and poked Assassin’s Creed Valhalla at its highest settings in gorgeous 4K HDR 60fps on my decent 65 “Vizio M-Series TV. And that’s just how I experienced next-generation games.

Now the controller I paid $ 60 for is available for $ 40 (Walmart, Best buy)because fuck me, right? I could have spent that $ 20 on anything. 20 packs of four chicken nuggets at McDonald’s. A Thanksgiving turkey. A holiday tree. MORE Assassin’s Creed Games. And yet I am betrayed here again. Don’t make the same mistake as me. We PC gamers have to look out for each other in times like these. And Xbox One players too, I think as Microsoft’s latest version is forward compatible Last generation systems.
