Ultimate ink waste is an artist with a very clear goal: to take some of the greatest video games of modern times and imagine what it would look like if they had the kind of illustrated retro vibes you’d see on box graphics for consoles like MegaDrive and TurboGrafx .

Having bought too many games of this era just based on their box art, I like them all, although the Bill & Ted appearance in the cyberpunk one is a particular favorite.
You can see more of the Ultimate Ink Trash stuff on them Instagram and Twitter.

SOME OTHERS CURRENT FINE ART CONTRIBUTIONS:

A particular highlight are the visual development sketches, rough exploration of some of the faction color schemes, and unit design quirks that are at the heart of a graphics team’s work on a game like this and are very cool to see shared here.

I’ve been doing fine art for 11 years now and I’ve never put together any major items in that time than i have to the both Destiny games.
That’s not only a testament to how good looking they are – and from the earliest “space tiger” days of the series to this latest expansion, it’s been one of the finest examples of consistently excellent art design in any video game – but also that rare freedom , which was granted to the game’s artists to share so much of their work. While most publishers these days allow artists to share their posts after a game’s release, you rarely see that much.
